How to pay using paypal in ebay?

Is it safe pay through paypal invoice, without using ebay.?

  • I want to buy some goods from a seller in Germany, he doesn't want to use eBay, he said he has no ebay account, but I can pay him through PayPal, I ask him to send me some pictures of the goods, he said goods are in distribution centre. If he disappeared after I pay him through PayPal, without using eBay, can I get the money back?

  • Answer:

100% scam. There are no goods. When he disappears after you pay him through Paypal without using eBay, you can NOT get your money back. The only way to have any kind of protection with Paypal is pay within Ebay and follow all the rules of Ebay and Paypal. Paypal can only get your money back if there is money left in the scammer's paypal-linked bank account. Scammers know this and will immediately withdrawal your money and disappear. No money in the scammer's paypal-linked bank account means absolutely no possibility of refund for you. You could post up the email address and the emails themselves that the scammer is using, it will help make your post more googlable for other suspicious potential victims to find when looking for information. Whenever suspicious or just plain curious, google everything, website addresses, names used, companies mentioned, phone numbers given, all email addresses, even sentences from the emails as you might be unpleasantly surprised at what you find already posted online. You can also post/ask here and every scam-warner-anti-fraud-busting site you can find before taking a chance and losing money to a scammer. If you google "fake seller Western Union", "fraud paypal seller scam" or something similar you will find hundreds of posts from victims and near-victims of this type of scam.

Yes, the invoice will serve as "proof of purchase", therefore, if he disappears, you will get your money back.

Yes, you can. Go to your PayPal account and click on the payment transaction. The option for opening a dispute is almost at the bottom of the page. You can file a dispute on PayPal if you don't receive the item you paid for or the item you receive is not as described. If the seller hasn't respond to the case or you believe you cannot reach a solution, escalate the case. Be aware that you will need to escalate the case within the timeframe stated or the case will close automatically and you will not receive your money back. You have up to 45 days after the transaction is done to open a dispute. After that you lose your privilege to ask PayPal to get your money back unless the seller decides to refund you within 60 days. PayPal usually takes around 2 weeks to review the case. Or if the seller respond to escalated case with tracking information, you can use it to track your item online. But if it's invalid, contact PayPal. The option should be on the bottom of most PayPal page. Email them and explain that the tacking number is invalid and you'd like them to go ahead and investigate the case. It will take 1 extra week for them to decide the outcome. But you usually get your money back if there's no tracking information or if it's invalid. Hope this helps.
