Studying Aboard in the United States?

Studying abroad inthe united states?

  • I am currently a student at kyung hee university in korea. My major is international studies and I was thinking about studying abroad to study law in the United States for graduate school. what are the qualifications to go to graudate school in the United States?

  • Answer:

The GPA from your undergraduate university and an LSAT score will together tell you which Law schools will consider you. The rankings are shown on the internet and each place says what results they accept. It is totally a numbers game and it does not matter what you studied at undergrad. As a non native English speaker you will probably have to take a language proficiency exam but that is up to the school. US Law school is very expensive and you will not qualify for US sourced loans. Expect tuition to be $50,000 a year and your living expenses are on top of that. You will not be permitted to work off campus.

Why would you want to study US Law? Your chances of finding a job as a lawyer in the US are pretty slim. we have lots of out of work lawyers. You need a four yr Bachelor degree and take the LSAT exam to apply to US law schools. Which is another. 3 yrs, then you would have to take the Bar exam
