Anyone gone to university in America from Scotland?

• I so desperately want to go to university in America, and I'm in fourth year (fifteen) in scotland at the moment. I was wondering if anyone here has done this, and if so, please could you email me? I really need some information on how to apply, exams, all that kind of thing that would be much easier to understand from someone who has actually been through the process. Much appreciated! :)
