How can I delete my yahoo account when I cannot log in to it?

  • Ok. So I have had the same email address for the better part of 10 years. Last week my boss and husband set up an email account for me through our business. The thing is its linked to my yahoo account. When I log on using new email it goes to my old account and I can toggle back and forth between the two. ( I don't want to have to do this) The thing is I don't have any need for the yahoo account any longer. How can I delete it without deleting the other email? I only want the email account through our business. After 10 years I need a change. Please help. Not too tech savvy.

    You indicate that your new account goes to your old account and then you indicate you can toggle back and forth. I have never seen a "toggle". There are only two types of Yahoo email accounts. You can have multiple accounts where each is independent. You must sign out of one and sign into another. Second there is a single alias account that can be added to a primary account. You sign in with either and all mail goes to the same inbox. There is no toggling involved. The primary can not be deleted since the primary and secondary are the same account. ℬ ℋ

Hi, we do not recommend terminating the personal Yahoo! ID as it would remove your access to the Yahoo! Small Business Mail account. This is the option the Administrator chose when creating you as a Yahoo! Small Business Mail user. We have sent you an email explaining in more detail, in case you'd like to contact us.
