Using outlook w/ my yahoo account-how can I use outlook from both my desktop and laptop seeing the same info?

  • I want to maintain my yahoo account on Outlook - but move back and forth from my I Mac desktop to my Mac Book Pro laptop and view, have access to all sent messages and the folder system of saved messagesI have created in outlook. How can I do this?

    You need the IMAP system instead of POP3 to achieve that. Yahoo officially doesn't support IMAP but you can try the following settins which sometimes seem to work: * Incoming Server - imap.mail.yahoo.com * Outgoing Server - smtp.mail.yahoo.com * Incoming Port - 993 (requires SSL) * Outgoing Port - 465 (requires SSL/TLS) * Username: full email address (for example, [email protected] or [email protected]) * Password: the password you login to Yahoo! with. You can also read this link http://www.bravurasoftware.com/yahoo-imap/ for a Yahoo IMAP solution, but I don't have any experience with it.
