How to delete yahoo answers account?
-
I do not want to delete my entire account, but I got this Y!Answers account a very long time ago, and there are some embarrassing questions and answers that I've posted here. Can ONLY your questions and answers be deleted? If not, how many times does your account have to be reported to be deleted? Thank you~

Answer:
But here's the trick: the questions would remain even after an account deletion, as they ALL belong to Y!A

When it comes to deleting your account, you should know that even if your Answers account is suspended or deleted all of your old Q&A will remain on the site. So since you are wanting to terminate your account and that is your reason, you should forget it. You cannot delete your Answers account only. Staff can do it if you get many or severe violations, but that is a risky way to go because they can delete your entire Yahoo! account. You could pretty much end your Answers account though by hiding your Y! Profile, setting your privacy settings to My Contacts Only, removing all contacts and fans, changing your username, disabling email and IM, and then simply don't use the account any more. But remember that all of your Q&A will remain on the site.

You can only delete questions that you asked, and you can only do that while they are still 'open'. Once a question is in 'voting' or has been resolved via a Best Answer being chosen, the question belongs to Y!A and is in their database forever (or until they start archiving old Q&As anyway). You can also email Yahoo Customer services at [email protected] or [email protected] and ask for them to delete the question for you. In your email include the link to the question you want deleted, explain why you want it deleted and ask them to delete it for you To delete your question while it's still open, go to the question page, pass your mouse over the pencil icon in the toolbar below your question, and click on Delete Question. Deleting your Yahoo account will not also delete your questions and answers - they remain out here as a part of the Y!A knowledge database. :o) http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/answers/ask/ask-76322.html

You cannot delete your yahoo answers account. If you have an obscene or offensive user name they will be forced to delete all your questions and answers from this site. BUT when yahoo answers suspends your account your email account may be deactivated too. Just set your Q&A's to private and don't allow anyone to be your fan.

You cannot do that I am afraid. You have to cancel all or nothing. More importantly if you do cancel everything your resolved questions and answers will still remain on Yahoo servers for ever unless removed for abuse.

Questions and answers can not be deleted. Closing the account or getting reported will not remove them. ℬ ℋ
