My skin SUPER oily and SUPER red!!! help?

Sunscreen for super oily, super sensitive and acne prone skin. help :( >reply only if u face it?

  • I have tried garnier, aveeno, neutrogena, lakme sunscreens. all of them made me break out. I even consulted a good dermatologist but even the medicated gel based or creamy sunscreens caused me acne and made my skin look very oily. Im concerned about my skin as i live in a place where summers get quite hot and damp. It has taken lots of years to take off acne from my face,i get them if i dont clean my face(live in a polluted city) or have menses (yeah i got proper medication for long and thats how its now atleast in control) and also bcoz my skin reacts to anything n is oily(i dont use anything except face wash twice). I've heard alot that La roshe posay is best sunscreen in world or clinique mostly has products for sensitive skin. So could u please tell me if any of them doesn't make u break out ? its about super oily and super sensitive not just sensitive. I really wish to protect my skin as im 24 and sun damage is clearly visible.

If the dermatologist can't help you, I don't think you're going to get extreme help here. I have oily, acne prone skin. The first thing that helped was that I went on the pill. A lot of my acne issues resolved themselves, although, I do get occasional breakouts. DO NOT USE too many acne products. They all combine and really abuse your skin. Use ONE medicated product, or, if possible, none at all. Get a plain, gentle skin cleanser made FOR YOUR SKIN TYPE. I use Cetaphil, personally, and it works well without completely stripping my skin, which leads to irritation, which leads to acne. Wash/wipe your face off during the day. I won't know if YOU will react well to those products-- you will have to try them out for yourself. I did just try out (at least on my hand-- it isn't hot or sunny or nice where I live yet) the Neutrogena Clear Face sunscreen and it actually rubbed onto my skin and I didn't even feel ANYTHING on it. I'm hoping it holds promise since most sunscreens are oily, greasy, and gross. I haven't found one that ISN'T nasty feeling on my face. Even moisturizers with sunscreen feel (and smell) nasty. But, I don't spend ridic amounts of money on products like Clinique. I don't have the income for it yet. Try going to the makeup counter and asking to try the product.

(I'm assuming you are female) Try mineral makeup. Most of it is SPF 15 and it will help control oil instead of encouraging it.

When you wash your face you are taking away the natural moisture from your skin, if you don't moisturize your skin will try to moisturize itself and will end up producing a bunch of oil that is not all that good for your skin, so every time you wash your face you must moisturize afterward, not only will help your skin from getting oily it will also keep your skin a nice healthy texture, if I don't moisturize after washing I get flaky dry skin and very oily skin around my nose and hairline. Try a spray sunscreen, it should be less oily. ADD: Oh! The other answer said to wipe your face off during the day, what you should do is wash your face every night and moisturize, but to wipe your face during the day use BABY wipes! They are very gentle and will not take too much moisture from your skin, I would still moisturize but because baby wipes are gentle it may not be an absolute must.
