How can i get my eye makeup to stop smudging from underneath my eye?

  • Hi! I am having problems with my eye makeup, i put it on around 6 am an then it starts smudging underneath my eye around like 8 and i want to stop it because it is embarrassing and no one else that i know of haves this problem i want a way to keep my makeup from smudging and keep it on longer without having to go back and redo it and so i don't have raccoon eyes! I also have an important event to go to in June so i want to keep it on longer Thanks! Any Suggestions! Plz

What kind of make up remover do you use? This could be the reason for the make up smudging because it could be too oily. If so take off your makeup in the night an wash your face in the morning and put not too much face cream around your eyes. Also try a water proof eyeliner. The same thing was happenin to me cuz I was using baby oil to take off my make up! It was a disaster. I also began using gel eyeliner that was water proof it works really good!

A primer will definitely help keep eye makeup in place. You can use a concealer as a base, but use a light concealer that will not cake or crease. Also, use a shield below your lashes when applying eye shadow, eyeliner, & mascara. Cues (clean under eye shields) is a small shield that you apply with a drop of water after you put your primer/foundation/concealer on. Mascara smudges and excess eye shadow will get on the shield, not on your skin. The shield just peels off & leaves your foundation in place, so no clean-up is needed. You might also want to try using powdered eyeliner. It doesn't run as often as pencil and liquid eyeliner. The downside is that it can create fallout, but if you use the shield I mentioned above, you don't have to worry about that. Check out the website below for more information!

I would suggest something waterproof for that area (from a brand you've used before, don't want any adverse reactions), and using an eye shadow primer. I like to use UDPP to combat oiliness, fading, and smudging. Sometimes when I yawn my eyes water and run and this usually keeps everything set. Depending on what you want to do, Maybelline has a 24 hour tattoo eye shadow line that I use on my lids and under in combination with my UDPP (Urban Decay Primer Potion). It may seem like a lot of money to spend on a product, but the amount that I need to use combined with what it does makes it a necessity for my extremely oily lids and eye area.

use a eye primer, eye primer keeps eye make up in place and it keeps it from smuding or running, you can apply it all over the lid or under your eyes, it blends into the skin then start using a gel based water proof eyeliner, gel liners are more pigmented and last longer, i use maybelline eyestudio 24hr lasting drama liner, and it never runs or comes off, i never have to touch up, its on my eyes all day, i have tons of high end liners and i always go back to my maybelline and use a water proof mascara you could try setting the eyeliner your using now with black eyeshadow to keep it in place.

It could be the kind of eye liner you are using but then again it could be ur face. Like yanno, you may have oily skin and that will cause it to smudge more.

Are you using a make up primer? I use Urban Decay Original primer potion on my eyelids and right under my bottom lash line and my makeup stays all day. The primer is AMAZING!
