I scanned a document using a Canon MG6120 printer. The scanned image is now on my PC as jpg file. How to edit?

A scanned document is in my PC as a jpg file. I need to edit this file or convert it to a text document (doc) file so I can make changes. How? Thanks.

You can make edits with certain software like photoshop and fireworks. since it is JPG it is a common file and any basic image manipulation software should be able to edit it, even if it is just to crop it.
