What should I do with the old charger?

Can't charge my old macbook pro with new charger?

  • i just bought a new macbook pro, i still keep the old one as some important datas are still there, but i left the old charger behind, since i thought i could just use the new charger for both.. now my old macbook ran out of battery and i found out that the new charger won't work on it ! :( what to do :( is there something wrong with the laptop or is the new charger really not compatible with the old macbook pro? :( god i'm so frustrated.. please help :(

    The old chargers are different from the current newer-generation MagSafe heads. I recommend e-mailing universallaptopchargers.co.uk and asking them - I bought my latest charger from them to charge both of my laptops and as a laptop-and-phone-charger while I'm travelling and while their product is £10-£20 more expensive than a bog-standard charger, it's worth every penny.

I believe the old chargers run on 60 Watts and the new ones on 45 Watts, or the other way around. You;ll have to get a charger that is power rated for your computer
