How To Activate Office 2010?

Microsoft office 2010 activation?

  • I just bought my laptop 4 months ago and when I need my microsoft office it says it's not yet activated, so i try activating it with the microsoft product key under my laptop, then it says that my product key is invalid. the product key I used is exactly 25 characters. what should i do to activate my microsoft office 2010. I really need to use it

  • Answer:

The key under your laptop is for Microsoft Windows, not for Microsoft Office. Your PC just came with the trial which expires after a while. Unless you paid extra for it when you bought your PC, you'll have to buy it. However, a great free alternative to MS Office that's compatible with it is Libreoffice. It's what I use: http://www.libreoffice.org/ Another one if Openoffice, however it doesn't get updated as often as Libre. Hope that helps.

Other answers

The product key on the bottom of the laptop is for the Operating System (Windows) not Office 2010. If you do not have a copy of the correct key somewhere you must buy one. Are you sure you do not have a trial version installed?

screw ms office and screw microsoft. download libre office or open office. they're both free.

Microsoft has support for new products. Or you might contact the laptop vendor.
