The center of the web page is a table that has a background color set. <table bgcolor="#00FF00"> Other will use CSS and create a <div> that is the center and give it a different colored background. <div style="color:#00FF00"> As you can see the commands to set a background color will be different depending on how you create the different "sections" of your page.
