What can Android do that iPhones can't?

  • What can an iPhone user expect from a new Android device? I bought an iPhone 4 the day it came out and have been solely using it. I have been looking at several different Android phones and am contemplating purchasing the HTC One X or the Samsung Galaxy S3 when it comes out, but I am not familiar with Android at all. I've been trying to do some research but I mainly come across opinions rather than facts ("'x' sucks! 'y' is so much better!" and the like). I used to have a Windows Mobile phone and it acted like a computer, which is what I'm hoping my new Android phone will be like. I could go to any website, and download any file, store it on my phone and access it with any application. I could attach it to e-mails, and transfer it to my computer easily regardless of what type of file it was. I could download apps from anywhere on the internet and install them to my phone. It really just acted like a little computer. There are a number of things I would like my phone to do but I can't really find anywhere online that says if Android will function like this. What advantages do you like most about Android? Is there anything that iOS has that you miss? Thank you!

iPhones have almost everything that Android has to offer. The only advantage you get is that Android phones are much cheaper with the same efficiency as iPhones. Also you get a lot of free apps on Android market which are charged on the App Store. The UI is somewhat complicated for a novice user. But you will get used to it once you have it in less than a day or two.

not sure i never used an iphone....but its simply just a different OS like windows and mac but do the same functions but are rather different. One thing that iphone had over android was instagram but now that app is also made available for android as well
