How to fix a really scratched disk?

How can I fix this scratched disk?

  • So I just bought Fifa 10 a week ago. I was playing this morning and my mom came in the room. She was walking and accidently bumbed into the Xbox 360. Once it stopped moving it made a weird loud noise. But the game kept running on the screen. I went to the Xbox and I got the game out. It looked weird. The game had a circular scratch around it. I put it back into the Xbox and it worked until the main menu and then it said its unreadable. So how can I fix this disk or can I take it back to GameStop for a refund? Every answer helps! Thanks!

    u scratched my cd, u picked it up in clear daylight..and u scratched it

It could possibly be too damaged to fix, but my brother did a similar (to his COD disk) although i don't think it was as bad - he took it to the shop he bought it from (probably Game) and they have a special machine that cleans the disks and can sometimes fix them. i'm not entirely sure how but it worked for him. if it is too damaged to fix it is possible to return but i'm not sure if they would refund you because it was technically your fault it broke. i hope this helps and good luck getting it working again :)

not sure what gamestop's policy is but if you purchased scratch warranty when you bought the game, they should replace it. if you didn't they /might/ allow you to buy it in order to replace the disc. another possibility (might not work depending on how deep the scratch is), go to your nearest DVD rental store. they should have a machine that repairs scratched discs. they will probably repair it for you for a small fee.

try to clean it off with windex and a soft cloth then play it if that dnt work try 2 upload it on ur computer and burn it 2 a new disk if that dnt work then i guess by a new one or burn one from a friend who has it

you can take it back to gamestop and they can repair the disk for you ( for like $2.50)
