What kind of home surveillance camera system does not require the use of internet?

  • I am looking to get a/some surveillance camera/s to set at home, but I absolutely want surveillance cameras that do not require internet at all to do their job. If there are such cameras, how does the recording process work? What kind of surveillance cameras should I look for? Please help!

Then you want a closed system. Most systems today come with a package from a monitoring company. That information has to get to them some how, by phone line or the web. If you want a closed system fine but you're also going to need a device of some kind to record what goes on when you're not there. If you don't care and recording (which you really should do) then just have monitors to see each camera or a switching device that goes from one camera to the next on a single monitor.
