Why can't I change my name or photo on Yahoo Answers?

    You're not the only one! It's a glitch, and a lot of people have been reporting it. Try all of the following: update Java and Flash, update your browser, and clear out your cache/temp files/cookies. Those things often resolve a lot of YA related issues. Not sure how to correct the name issue, but I can help with the avatar one. There have been a lot of problems resulting from server glitches affecting Y! Profile. These issues that many users such as yourself are experiencing are part of that. Try uploading your avatar via your Y! Profile. From Answers click on My Activity > View Pulse > Edit (person & pencil icon). (http://profile.yahoo.com/y/edit/ ) Then click on your avatar where it says "change picture", click on the one you want and Save at the bottom of the page.
