How does a person know if their account has been hacked?

My Runescape account keeps getting hacked!?

• Okay, the first time this happened was when I was playing a mini-game but then my computer shut down by itself. I turn on my computer and I log back onto my account and I lose a lot of items that I had equipped. Then a chat window pops up but it does't appear on the task bar below. The name of the person chatting to me says, "Jagex" and they somehow know that my account has been hacked. They said, "It shows in our report that you've recently been hacked". And from my experience, Jagex doesn't really pay attention to us players nowadays. Anyway, they continue to ask me about what happen until they ask for my bank pin, then I knew it was a hacker. I confronted them calling them hackers so they just left and the chat window disappeared. The very next day while I'm playing, my computer shuts down again. I restart and everything I have equipped is gone, but luckily I had stuff I could afford to lose. I was still in the exact same spot as I left off before the computer shut off, but last time I appeared in my spawn point(edgeville). I'm a little worried that my account is in danger, but also my computer because AVG keeps telling me I have trojans but I'm not too sure how to deal if AVG didn't already. I need an answer to this, please!

  As an Ex-Runescape player I have had something like this happen to me before too.. I have a few suggestions on how you can fix this... #1 - If someone claims to be jagex, THEY ARE NOT. #2 If something pops up on your screen saying you have a bunch of virus's... THAT'S THE VIRUS ITSELF DON'T CLICK IT. #3 - Stop playing runescape on that computer until you can have someone fix it because as long as you use the computer with the keylogger on it the keylogger can shut your computer down at any time and take whatever tiems you have on you when your computer turns off.. Ask your mom/dad or whatever to see if that can fix it for you or take it to some place to get it fixed because until then it really isn't safe or smart to play runescape on the computer anymore
