You can refuse, but the physicians may also refuse to accept you as a patient. They hate it when a patient makes decisions that a medically contradictory to their own safety.

they need to test for more then that, other viruses you could pass on to baby, your blood type if your blood type is negative and they dont know you wont get the proper care as if you have say A- or O- and you have a baby that is A+ they would have to give you an injection which would protect your body, if you dont get it then any pregnancy you would have after is most likely to end in miscarriage if the baby is A+ because your body would fight back against it thinking it was something it needed to get rid of

You can deny any testing you don't want done. They recommend it, it's not required usually.

Why would you refuse to have bloody drawn? They take it for a good reason, and it's all towards protecting you and your baby... I don't understand why you'd refuse that. If saliva was a better way of doing it, then they'd do that... There's a reason for using blood.
