At what age should I become an EMT-Paramedic?

What age do you become an adult?

  • Now before you all start throwing out the "moron" and "what an idiot" answers. I know damn good and well what the age is to be an adult and in what states it is different. So I know the answer to my question already but sadly on here I read people giving the wrong age all the time. So what age are you an adult? And by adult I mean no longer legally under your parents control. The "age of majority" is what it is called. This is an easy easy question and I will be very disappointed in all those who are wrong. BQ: What states is the "age of majority" different from all the rest? And what is the age for those states? Oh and I will be giving a thumbs down to all incorrect answers, so you'll know you are wrong and can go look up what the real age is to be considered legally an adult.

    18 in all but four states, 19 in three, and 21 in Mississippi. Some take graduation from high school as a factor, and minors can be emancipated at an earlier age....14 in my state. Do I get a gold star for spelling Mississippi correctly? :o)

Depends on the state you're in. Texas is 18 and California is 17. It's different every state, so just google it

At age 18 you are legally an adult. You are not actually an adult until you take responsibility for yourself, pay your bills, stop asking mom and dad for hand outs, learn to figure things out yourself. I know about Mississippi keeping the 21 for legal adulthood but at 18 in every state you can vote and join the military to risk your life for your country so you are an adult at 18 in every state. The 21 law is nothing more than a number.
