What makes attraction to things other than humans?

• What are there fetishes? I mean, as I notice a lot, fetishes are shunned and marked as taboo in most cases, but then why is there such an attraction? Also, does attractions to things matter by age (like teenagers with hormones and such)? Also, why are certain odd attractions shunned by society? I mean, if someone has attraction to feet, it is seen as kind of weird, yet attraction to someone's butt (where I may add, is where rotten waist from our body is deposited out of) is just normal.. To a Television sense, if someone is attracted to a show like, maybe MLP:FiM (using this show as an example for it has good character development, I would also like to hear what the Brony community thinks of this) or the Simpsons, or Family guy, what makes it so wrong for a person to have an attraction to a cartoon character that has emotions, looks and such. Also, what makes people attracted to these kind of things in the first place.. I know, that probably not every person that masturbates for MLP:FiM masturbates to real ponies. Yet even though these characters have human-like emotions, people tend to think these people are freaks that are into bestiality. I am not sure if attractions to things is a brain urge, or chosen. Also, should teenagers going through hormonal changes be seen as wrong for having an attraction to anything but humans. As a teenager myself, I have gone through many sexual urges toward things, but when it's about a woman, it is just normal, but if it about something other than human, it's taboo..   If you're using mlp, which I do like myself, I don't masturbate to it though, I'm a girl. Though Discord is hott and makes me think of someone special to me. (love!) I think it's a few things, most shows in the world don't show females as intelligent or anything anymore. MLP does show them, and they actually made an effort to get away from the "girly-stupid" thing. Also, much like girls loving horses and all (masculine, strong), the ponies on mlp show look smart, confident, (excluding clearly abused Fluttershy) and beautiful-they're highly feminine in appearance, human or not, it's merely biology. Females attract to males, and vis-vera. (even gay guys, many times one is more feminine then the other-same for women-though not always, there's all sorts)
