How do I make a video with my pictures?

How can I make a video that includes both video and pictures?

  • I'm trying to start off with a video then cut to a bunch of different pictures (with the video audio still playing) After all the pictures have been shown, I want to cut back to a part of the video. Is this possible at all? If so, what kind of editing do I need to do. I have Windows Movie Maker and VideoPad Video editing software both downloaded onto my computer! Thanks!

Showing still pictures in a video is simply repeating the frame as many times as is needed for the time - 30 frames for a second or whatever - You have to be able to keep the sound track separate and lay in sections of video against it. I don't know those programs but duplicating frames - to slow down changes or show titles should be simple in each one. Keeping to a sound track might be difficult with a simple program but a good one should include it by definition - videos are sound and pictures and good videos match them in some way.
