  Andy Warhol because he created a new concept of art by using the actual ephemera of avertising, packaging, etc., itself as a work of art such as Duchamp's 'ready-made' brought up to date. This is what Warhol attempted to do in 1964 when he arranged an exhibition consisting entirely of exact facsimiles of commercial packaging repeated in large numbers. It was, as if he were suggesting that perhaps the supermarket is the real popular art gallery of today. Warhol used the theme of repetition in much of his work, as if he accepts, and turns to his own creative purpose just that uniformity and conformity which the machine age imposes, and against which the Action painters were rebelling. His Campbell Soup was brilliant. Picasso was one of the most famous and successful artists of the twentieth century. He was extraordinarily prolific; embracing many artistic styles, including Cubism and Surrealism, and he was the creator of countless paintings, sculpture, drawings, etchings, constructions, collages and ceramics. Picasso had a long and varied life, encompassing different locations, several wives, mistresses and children, and a series of deep friendships with other artists, poets and writers. Warhol surrounded himself with bad company and was known for inviting strays and odd people to his studio. A woman once tried to murder Andy Warhol and he also made bad movies on purpose. He wanted to make bad movie because he knew they'd be good.
