All the colours that there is?

Poster colours or acrilic colours?

  • I'm confused between the two of these. I have to make a painting on "Save greenery". The sketch I made is beatiful and motivating. I made it many times but every time I colour it, the colours take too long and the poster colours show ir-regular lines like pencil colours do. How to get rid of this. The painting is a mixture of bright and dark colours involving light and dark brown, light and dark green, light and dark blue and yellow colour. Would acrilic colours be better for such a painting or should I use poster colours?

  • Answer:

I recommend acrylic , because acrylic is more popular than poster and colors are nicer and stronger .

I've never used poster colors before, how opaque is it? I'm not an experienced painter, but I think acrylic is good because it's sort of thick and you can layer it. You can cover up mistakes with more layers of paint, and the colors are pretty solid so I don't think it is as likely to give you those "irregular lines." But like I said, I'm not exactly sure what poster colors are like, so I can't really compare the two. Also, how thick is the canvas/paper/surface? Maybe you need to consider the surface texture too.
