Why is my stomach gurgling?

What would you like to ask?My is my dogs stomach "Gurgling"?

  • Can anyone please tell me why my dogs stomach would be gurgling???? Its been gurgling for about 2 days, hes eating grass and his stool is a little soft (only had him 2 weeks and hes had a runny stool since we've had him, took him 2 the vets and he said its prob cus of a new home and change of food. he's had a normal stool for 3 days but not its sofa again) he's a little down in the dumps but he still wants to eat and play. hes been wormed. I've felt his stomach and theres no pain there. What could it be??

    His stomach's gurgling because its upset. His stool's soft for the same reason and that would be the food's not agreeing with him. After 2 weeks, the problem's more than just a change of food. If the food you're feeding has grains in it, it could be food allergies to the grains. Read the labels - if it doesn't have meat as the first ingredient and if it has corn and/or wheat, that's the most likely cause of his gurgling and soft stool.

What was his mom eating? That's what his GI tract is going to recognize best. No matter how 'trashy' it may seem, the food his mom ate is what his immune system and GI tract were modeled on, and that is what he will digest the best. "Better" food is not better if the dog's system rejects it- what you describe is a typical allergic reaction to a food that is not right for him. Have your vet do a fecal test for parasites - he could also have coccidiosis - and get him on whatever his mom was eating. That should set him right.
