My kitten(orphan) is 9 day old, how much should i feed him? please help.?

DO NOT bother his eyes. Leave them alone. They will open on their own. It is assumed he is eating formula, in a bottle?? This is the only thing he should be eating. Cut a little slit in the end of the nipple so it flows better. Feed him when he seems hungry (they will usually get restless or cry), and wipe his bottom with a moistened cotton ball, after each meal, with a towel underneath to catch the urine. Without this, he will get sick, since he can't urinate, properly, on his own. Look up: Newborn kitten care. Keep him warm, using a heating pad, on the lowest setting, under towels. BE SURE there is a large enough space in the box, that the kitten can easily crawl to the other side if it gets too hot. A kitten can also overheat, but the litter usually keeps each other warm, by piling on top of each other. Take lots of picture, so you can remember how small he was!! They grow very quickly.

But really it makes more sense to gradually feed a little more over the course of the week instead of suddenly increase it so much on his 15th day. So, for example right now, at 9 days he should probably be getting about 36 cc's per day total divided into 6 feedings, so like 6 cc per feeding. then at 11 days , feed 42 cc's per day( 7 ccs per feeding) , at 13 days, 48 cc's per day (8 cc's per feeding) then at 15 days, 54 cc's per day ( 9 cc's per feeding ) I don't mean you have to give EXACTLY that amount and not a drop more nor a drop less. . Definitely do not try to force the eyes open. you could damage them. It could also be he was a little premature so might develop a little later. If he was premature he was probably very small, thinner and not as much fur as a full-term kitten.
