• Hello everyone, I would like to update you folks with some tips on how to keep a dog in Mumbai. I have a Lab, 6 years old. To start with. 1) Vet. Mumbai has a lot of Vets. And only a few are good. I will be telling you about the vets I've been too. Dr Sanjiv Rajadhyaksha - Small Animal Clinic and Surgical Centre in Khar(west) clinic Tel: 2605 8550 Mob: 9820237028 Now this man, is over priced as hell and is not that great at his job. His staff is mean, they mishandle animals. Moreover he's just out for money. Has no feel for an animal what you expect your Vet to have. I suggest him to be the second last option for your pet. Dr. Sunita K. Patel Plot No. 3, Kartik 12th Road, New India Society, JVPD Scheme, Juhu 26154082, 9821010898 She's the best Vet in the whole motherfuckin' universe. To start with she's richer than Amitabh Bachchan/ Shahid Balwa, so by default she isn't doing it for money. It's all for the love of animals. Her staff is filled with amazing people, cordial, pet lovers and full of life(not money hungry/rude). She charges the most minimal fees, and sometimes she does not even charge. My Lab had tick fever, at Rajyadaksha for 6 turns of saline and other injections the total came upto 9,500Rs. While at Dr Sunita's for the same problem after 9 months for 6 turns was 5,200Rs and much better treatment. He is a genius. Everything what I've said for Dr Sunita applies for him to. He might be not rich as Sunita Patel, but treats stray dogs for free unlike Rajyadaksha. I'm sorry if anyone was offended, but whatever was written is the ******* TRUTH. 2) Pet Stores Being a resident of Bandstand, Bandra. I know of Pet Stores in and around Bandra and one in Juhu. Dawgs (Aneesha Rai) B-4 Snow White C.H.S., 18th Road, Khar (West), Mumbai 400052 +91-9930924028 Best pet store, reasonable. Nice animal loving people. They've got two Dogs of their own. They have a wide range of treaties, chewies and toys for your pet. If you have any pet queries Aneesha can help you with everything(until it isn't 100% Medical). They also ask you questions about your pet and suggest you products which turn out to be really good. They are good groomers to, generally I don't take my Lab(Syd) for grooming outside, but I do on his birthdays. So after coming out from a shower, they did a whole Spa thing on Syd and he loved it. Nothing to good, nothing to bad. Little expensive, but sometimes justified. They have some nice hard bones, and treaties. Dogs love it. Pet Story Shop No.10-B, Pali Naka, Bandra West , Mumbai 9920898813, 30866767, 30866766, 9223445666 To start with, Syd's leash broke and it was a Sunday. Dawgs was shut so I hopped into Pet Story. The price tag was 750bucks. The actual price on the price tag was 150rs, but they'd made the 1 to a 7 with a ball pen. The price change was visible. I asked the guy(looked like the owner) there, that I think there is some mishap with the price, with a very rude/stern voice he said the company made a printing error, this is the price No discount, No exchange. I was taken aback. I told him this is a pet store not a fish market, and your cheating. He was all like, 'ok, last price 550rs', I told him thanks a lot and walked out without the leash. The next day I bought the same leash from Dawgs for 150rs. They are overpriced. They should change their store name to Overpriced Pet Story.
