what type of high gain antenna is used in wireless LAN and what is the LAN frequency band? hope anyone can help

Answer:
LAN frequencies can be just about any "shared" frequency. Common ones are 2.4Ghz, some use 5.8Ghz, and a few older systems used 902Mhz. Gain antennas can be flat panel (collinear design), yagi, cantenna or dish antennas. Others include the standard router antennas, vertical quarter wave or stacked, phased verticals in one antenna.
