How to increase internet connection speed?

• Ok so I have asked a question about this before, but it is still an issue. Our internet provider just gave us a free $150 router to replace our old one ($65) because it was so slow we couldn't use it. I just ran a speed test on my computer twice: 1st Test: Ping: 655 ms Download Speed: 0.33 Mbps Upload Speed: 0.13 Mbps 2nd Test: Ping: 525 Download Speed: 0.39 Mbps Upload Speed: 0.06 Mbps Now what the hell? That's awful, I'm not sure exactly how it works but I assume that both the wireless connection and the computer itself factor in to it. How can I increase this? When they send guys over to our house to see what's wrong they basically say that there is no reason it should be this slow, then they leave. Reeaal helpful. This has happened exactly 7 times now. We moved the router to a new spot upstairs, just to see if it would help, and it didn't. (Living room where we used to have it is on the main floor). It may have even gotten worse moving it there, probably because interference (even though they promise "30 feet of full wireless strength" even on separate floors, which is obviously complete bull ****). It's gotten to the point where I just simply cannot use YouTube (#1 site I go to) or even searching songs on iTunes because every time I try to listen to one it just rebuffs it every second. Can this be my computer that is just a hunk of ****? Or is there anything I can do? Would be great if I got some good answers, thanks! P.S. Company is Comcast and purely based on my (about 3 years) experience with them, I would only recommend them to someone I thought wronged me at some point in my life and I want to get revenge on.

  Try deleting some useless stuff. Download malware just incase u got a virus.
