Why won't my Acer start up?

Why is my acer laptop unable to start?

  • I have a acer laptop and every time i turn it on its says it unable to start. Why? Its windows 7 and it comes up with 2 choices "Start start up repair" or "start windows normaly" but i have no choice, i have tried both of them and both get stuck on the loading bar. I leave it for a couple of hours, and still nothing. I dont have the cd/dvd to re-download windows 7 or anything, because it never came with one. Im scared to tell my mun because she'll really shout at me saying ive broken it:( What can i do?

    try reseting bios. I'm not sure how to do it on a laptop so you'll have to look it up. try hitting F8 repetively when you turn on the computer until you get an option to start in safemode. chose safemode if you can. If you computer starts go into safemode and try restoring your computer to a previous state before you had this problem - they are called restore points. look that up too if you don't understand. after you try this post what happened.

Well then it's time to face your mom. I don't think you can do anything about a computer system shutting down unless you get a professional to do it. It sounds like you might have a computer virus. That's what happened to my acer laptop... Before I stepped on it. It was terrifying to tell my mom about both cases but she understood.. And won't let me near her laptop. Dont be afraid just tell her.

Try booting your system. This will restore your laptop to factory settings and it will erase the data in the hard drive. There is an option before the Start Windows Normally screen appear. I think it was f2 or something. It will show you the buttons to click when you reach that screen. Hope this helps.
