I need a good video editing and movie making software for windows thats free?

i need a good video editing and movie making software for windows thats free. I had Jahshaka it was good but i upgraded to windows 8 and it doesnt work so i need to add music to videos, combine videos, add things into videos like a gun or zombie change the background (possiblly), and other minor things. WHAT software that is FREE and for Windows 7/8 will do that??? Must Be FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can try getting windows live movie maker for free its a beginners program but you can always look on youtube for tutorials on how to get sony vegas or adobe premiere for free but if you do that look at comments and dislike/like bar to know if you downloading something good or bad hope this helps :)
