How do I install cydia on Iphone 5.1?

Someone PLEASE help me, I am at my wits end! Ive been told you install cydia directly on the iphone, but when I go to the website (on the phone) the directions for installation are long, complex, and clearly for a computer, not a phone. I tried downloading RedSn0w on my comp, and it asked me to create a folder, download and install files, and reboot/reset the entire phone--losing all data.I just think there has to be an easier way, this shouldnt be so hard. I just want to install cydia on my iphone. Can anyone give me simple, clear, step by step instructions? Thank you in advance

sorry, it's impossible without jailbreaking. so far no untethered jb available for ios 5.1,there is tethered one but u need to jailbreak your phone again once you restart it.

You can't do it without jail breaking, unless you want it to be tethered ? That means you have to plug your iphone into the PC every time you turn it on? Otherwise you are going to have to wait about a month until they release the new jailbreak
