What could be wrong with my netflix?

Netflix player wont play freezes on black any Ideas what could wrong?

• I reistalled sliver light a few times already uninstalled some programs that maybe cause the problem but no luck. I even installed firefox and it still wont play the movies it just freezes on the black screen with no controls or anything and my browser slows and so does my desktop with my cpu you running at 100% uuntil I hit the back Button on my browser then everything goes back to normal .I ran a virus scan nothing I booted in to safe mode and sliver light and netflix plays just fine then so whatevers not getting load in safe mode is cause sliver light and netflix to freeze up just cant figure out what also sliver light works just fine in normal mode on other sites that use the software I only have this problem with netflix in normal mode maybe its a video codec or something causing but if that was the case sliverlight wouldn't play on any site so its got to be in the browser or netflix where the problem is or maybe some other software I've over looked SYSTEM XP HOME CPU PENTIUM 4 2.80 MHZ 1 GB OF RAM NVIDIA GEFORCE 4MX 4000 GRAPHICS CARD SLIVER LIGHT 5 IE 8
