Are high resolution screens easier on the eyes than laptop screens?

Computer screens that protect eyes?

  • When I work on my cheap ASUS laptop my eyes often feel strained. But I feel better when I'm using my friend's Macbook. So is there some sort of difference in how computer screens are made that affect its stress on eyes? What screen technical specification should I pay attention to when I'm buying new laptop if I want a "eye-friendly" screen? Thanks.

  • Answer:

It's probably because the mac has a built-in antiglare layer. you can get one for your screen, its pretty cheap. Its just a piece of plastic that reflects most of the radiation from the screen. You can reduce the brightness, but not too much, because that will harm you eyes too. And a mid-contrast is always the best.

Higher pixel density and large screen size are the two main considerations. Also the Mac has much better build quality.

reduce the brightness and contrast maybe that should help.
