How can I get my background settings back?

How do I get rid of "DRAFT" in background of printed Word document?

  • Okay, I'm pulling my hair out here. I am using Word 2008 for Mac and 10.5.8 on my Mac. The "DRAFT" does not show up anywhere until I actually print the document. It is not a watermark because the settings are set to "no watermark". It is not an object in the background so I cannot select it using the drawing toolbar and delete it. If I copy the text and paste it in blank document, it is still there. I have gone into the Header/Footer settings and tried to get rid of it, but there is nothing there to get rid of. If I save as a pdf and print from preview, the "DRAFT" is still there. It also shows up on multiple printers and multiple locations. How in God's name do I get rid of it?

  • Answer:

Well you did the right thing by going to the watermark feature. Since there is no watermark, then there's a picture that's probably placed behind the text. You may have to move other objects to the back until the picture comes to the front.
