Computer programs not opening?

It looks like some of my programs (only downloaded ones it seems) do not run in any way, shape or form. I'll click them and the program will load a bit, but not open at all. The progams I have on here that won't open are things like Pesterchum, shimejis, almost anything downloaded. However, MP3s and Minecraft can still run, which is beyond me how they do, as on my last computer, Minecraft had the same issue. Please help?

Answer:
Download them again, you may have only part of the program downloaded. Only this time let it finish, don't mess with it while downloading.
