How is this video card?

How do I direct my video editing software to use my new video card?

  • My computer's integrated video card is an AMD Radeon HD 6530D, but I also had a new video card installed: an AMD Radeon R6670 Core Edition. I have Magix Movie Edit Pro MX video editing software, and it is running the video slow (I installed the new video card to avoid that problem!). I need to know how to make sure the program is using the new video card and if there is something else I should do to help the video run more quickly. My computer shouldn't be slowing it down. It is a brand new computer with 1 Terabyte of space and an 8 GB memory. Thanks.

  • Answer:

Put the new video card in the first PCIX slot ... and plug the primary monitor into the new video card. that way all your programs will know that that is the card you want them to use. Or Take the old card out. Reintroduce the new one by playing the game with it, but do the above also. Which card is the best card. Use the best card as you primary video outlet.

For basic editing, AVS Video Editor is a great choice: It's also free trial, so that's always nice.
