How to view history of deleted files in Windows 7?

• I am looking for a file (picture) that was deleted about a year ago so do not recomend system restore. Its obviously also not in the trash can. Do not ask me to download any software or programs, simply answer my question. How can I view a history of deleted files on my computer? I know that there is a way because I accidentally found a place in my computer where I was able to see a list of deleted files. I really don't remember how I found it but I need to find it again. I remember that I was browsing the drives and there was a place, but I don't remember what drive it was in or if it was a folder. All I know is that it was almost like a saved history of every file that was ever on my computer regardless that they have been deleted. I accidentally found it once, and I ran into it again a couple of other times but now I don't remember how to find it.
