How to Search using jQuery ASP.Net?

ASP.NET personalized profile page?

  • Hi, I am designing a website for a bit of fun and am using ASP.NET 4.0 with visual basic... I have set up my site so that people can register, log in, change password, etc.... although I want to be able to let users have a profile page so that people can see their information. I am new to ASP.NET so my site is a bit of a mess at the moment... I was hoping is there any chance someone can let me know a website where they have a tutorial where it shows me how to set personalized profile pages and a way that people can add each other as friends etc... or if anyone had a basic code that I could possibly use and change so that I can work out how its done... I would like a tutorial if possible so that I know what I am doing rather than someone just giving me a massive amount of code, as this is part of a personal project that I wanted to do so I can teach myself ASP.NET I have had a look around but cant seem to find any tutorials or information online. I would also like to know how to allow people to have a url so that people can search for the users profile but typing in the domain name (like on facebook where you can set the url of your profile to www.facebook.com/ExtensionOfYourChoice) I would be eternally grateful if someone could help or even push me in the right direction. Thanks, Timothy

I believe that there is no such tutorial available online... Tried to search for one and not there... Good luck!
