What is the best free file hosting site?

I'm looking for suggestions for a file hosting site that will allow me to make a .pdf or .zip file available for download on my website. I am not able to use FTP or PHP, so I'm forced to outsource. I've done a little research on what's out there, but I would really like some personal opinions. Even some pros/cons, or even personal reviews. There's so many out there that offer a myriad of different options. I might even be willing to purchase a plan from a site, providing it did exactly what I want. Mostly direct linking, a decently elongated hosting period, and a substantial bandwidth to allow many downloads per month. Any help would be appreciated.
