ITunes Download Failed, Tap to Retry Error Help?

Okay I own a 16GB iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1 and a Macbook Pro 13" running Mac OS X version 10.7.3. Yesterday I purchased two songs off of iTunes using my iPhone, both received an error message saying: "Unable to Download Song _________ could not be downloaded at this time." with the options Done and Retry. I've hit retry at least twenty times with no luck, and other things I've read say to go to iTunes and go to Store<Check For Available Downloads, but that was also unsuccessful. Any ideas how to fix this?
