Cant view incoming messages on phone?

so far it seems to only be a problem with one person, i can send texts, recieve them, however when i open them in a conversational view it shows only the texts ive sent, so the only way i can read a text message on my phone is to hover over it and read the first few words. Ive deleted messages and everything and still i cant view these, my service provider is AT&T and if anyone has a way to solve this let me know, THANKS!!

Not sure exactly why its doing that. But try downloading another messaging app such as GO SMS or Handcent SMS. The one I'm using is GO SMS and it is much better than the one which came with my phone. That should work
