Question about cell phone policy at school?
-
I got my phone taken up at school Wednesday of last week. My schools policy is the first offense they keep your phone for 2 weeks.. You can have cell phones at my school but they cannot be on until after school is over. When the first bell rings the bus rideers can get on the bus and go home and when the second bell rings car riders wait for the person who is picking them up so theycan leave. I ride with my brother which is a senior so I leave class when the first bell rings and stay in the lobby until the second bell rings. Well I always take my phone out and turn it on when I get into the lobby and nobody ever saids anything to me. Well the last week this teacher who is really strict walked by and I was texting my brother to come and get me from school because he checked out early that day and she said that schools not over yet and took my phone and 2 other peoples phones. Fortunely I had already sent the message to my brother to come and get me.. But the other guy was trying to call his guardians to come and get him but she took his phone before he could contact them. So he ended up having to walk home that day and it took him 2 hours. well the other girl who got her phone took was letting the guy call his guardians off of her phone because he does not have calling minutes on his phone and she got hers back since she did not have it out he did. Is there anyway I can get my phone back before the 2 weeks?

Answer:
You are better off bringing this issue with your school because of 2 reasons. 1. School policy on cell phones varies betweens schools. 2. Your excuse sounds more like gossip than an explanation.

Just tell your parents- tell them that the school policy at the end of the school day is absurd- the kids were talking to their parents to come and pick them up. That is fine.

Tell your parents and have them get your phone back for you.

Schools have policies against cell phone use by students during school hours to try to prevent distractions during the time that students are supposed to be learning, so that they become intelligent enough to not be a failure in life. You broke the rules, and are paying the price. Your parents may be able to intervene, but keep in mind that public schools are often under legal mandates to foster a suitable learning environment, and may not be allowed to make exceptions in your case.
