How do you know that a guy likes you?

How to know when a guy truly likes me?

• I don't like anyone and don't think I'll get asked in the near future either, but I would like to know for the future. I'm a sophomore, almost junior in high school. I've never had a boyfriend, at most, I had a date with the guy I Iiked at formal 2 months ago (but we've barely talked since, it was kinda of an awkward date because he had just broke up with his gf). I've never been asked out truly. Well, once I guess. A few months ago, I was on a walk and this guy that looked like he was in college started talking to me and asked me if I wanted to go to a bonfire with him. But I didn't know him and I had never seen him before in my life so I just made up an excuse. I've asked out 2 guys and the first one made up a lie and then said no and the other one was my date to winter formal, but I also asked him to homecoming but he did already have a date, so he was the only guy I've liked who was nice to me (I don't think he liked me, but it was still nice of him to actually say yes). In 7th and 8th grade, I got asked out jokingly like 15 times and even had a guy "have a crush on me" while he had a girlfriend. Since then, I don't know what it'll seem like when a guy actually likes, or is just being an immature jackass and humiliate me again.

  You won't know unless you spend sometime talking and getting to know him. Getting to like someone requires taking a risk, and sometimes (or most times) the person will turn out to be someone who you are not looking for. But, occasionally, the guy will turn out to be a nice person and you will want to keep him. It's about spending time and getting to know the person.
