What to pack for summer camp?

Summer camp counselor, what to pack?

• This is going to be my first time as a summer camp counselor and I really want to know what i should pack? I mean, the list that my camp sent me is good but i feel like certain things are missing ... i asked a few of my friends who have experience at summer camp and they helped a little bit, most just laughing saying dont forget the rubbers! think you could help me with a dont forget list? out of the ordinary things that the camp may have forgot to mention (; haha thanks a bunch PS - anything that may come in handy please let me know (i.e; fan, robe, head light, sleeping bag)

  A pair of old shoes that you wont mind losing Never forget a rain coat Lots of socks! Undershirts if you sweat alot(always invest in extra uniform shirts) Sharpie! Put your name on EVERYTHING Small lightweight backpack. Youd be surprised how much you have to carry sometimes And one of the best things i ever had at camp was a pen and a good moleskin notebook. The kind you can fit in your pocket. That way you can make notes and keep a schedule. Plus if you as a young counselor run into an adult who has a question that there is no way you could know the answer to(and believe me they will expect you to have the answer to everything including world hunger) it goes a long way to making them happy if you write down the question and their name and day i will find out for you. MAKE SURE you follow through and double check that they got their answer. Hope you have fun
