How much is the taxi fare from tsimshatsui kowloon to shun tak terminal hongkong?

Kowloon to Mong Kok? MTR? Bus? Taxi?

  • I'm traveling to HK next month. I'm staying at the Bridal Tea House in Sung Wong Toi Road, Kai Tak, Kowloon. Here it is on the map : http://www.ebookers.com/hotels/Hong_Kong/Hong_Kong/Bridal_Tea_House_To_Kwa_Wan.h375781/ How do I reach Mong Kok or Tsim Sha Tsui? I know the MTR stations where I can get OFF but I don't know what station to get ON from my hotel. Or do I ride a bus? or a taxi? If I do, can anyone tell me how? I would really like to know how to get around HK before I get there :) Thanks in advance!

  • Answer:

In spite of how things look on a map, walking around HK isn't that difficult. Everything is pretty compact. Once you get to your hotel, you can always ask the front desk how to get around. They are used to these type questions and they will be able to help you very easily. Another way to go about it is to walk the area yourself, map in hand. Walk to Argyle Street and then walk to Nathan Road. Maybe 20 minutes walk, at a leisurely pace. This also will give you a chance to explore where you'll be staying . . . to get to know what's around you.

Well I've got to say, where you are staying is quite a tricky place to take the MTR... but you can always take the bus to the nearest MTR station around the map on the website, or quickly take a taxi to Mong Kok? I would take the bus to Mong Kok cos the MTR stations are fairly far away from the Tea House. So basically you just need to find the right bus to get on and there you go! If there's a '27' bus, that takes you straight to Mong Kok, I think?

Ah you're in the empty bit. Empty as in no MTR. TBH you might as well just walk. Just head west. It is 1500 metres. Just walk along Argyle Street In that the nearest MTR station to you is north at Lok Fu, which is about 1300 metres away. South west is Hung Hom. And West is Mong Kok east station. If you get into a taxi for such a short distance the taxi driver will not be a happy chappy!

Taxi or walk.
