Why does alcohol make you "lose your inhibitions?

Why does Society view Marijuana as so much worse than Alcohol?

• Can someone please explain to me why society as a whole views Marijuana as something so much worse than alcohol? We tolertae alchohol is our society and believe its perfectly okay to drink, and get drunk. However if someone smoke Weed, and gets high we view it as something so much worse. Why is that? Do people really think Alcohol is so much better for you than Pot? I'm not saying weed is a good thing cause its not, but neither is alcohol by any means. People get drunk and completely lose their inhibitions. Things like rape, fights, random hook ups, acting crazy, and other nonsense happiness. When people get high they basically lose their motivation, and get lazy. So neither is good by any means, but how come society doesn't view these 2 equally? Its like if you go to a bar on a friday night, and get completely wasted its fine. But if you sit at home and get stoned its viewed a a sin. I don't know about you, but I think losing your lack of motivation, and being lazy temporally, is better than losing your inhibitions temporally.

Both are drugs which alter moods, perception, and inhibitions since they generally cause people to relax. You are correct in most of what you have stated. Neither ought to be in any home where there are children for both negatively impact the growth and development of the brain along with higher thinking skills.
