What sprocket size should i get for my bmx bike?

i have a 39t sprocket and dont know what size i should get although i want a smaller sprocket does any1 no what size i should get for a 1/8 chain

The first thing you need it to check how many teeth the back cog (the smaller sprocket on the back rim) has I believe it should have 14. You might think that you just get another sprocket on http://www.danscomp.com/. BUT, lets say you get a 30 tooth sprocket and you put it on you will have a 30-14 gear ration which will have absolutely NO speed whatsoever. So the solution is to buy both a smaller sprocket and another 9 tooth back rim http://www.danscomp.com/shop-PARTS/WHEELSREARCASS.html which can cost anywhere from 90-200 dollars, probably more than the bike itself.
