Does anyone know about suriname's culture?

I don't know anyone who's into pop culture in real life?

I'm really into movies/celebs/tv/books. I follow Harry Potter/Hunger Games/Sherlock/Avengers/a-bunch of tv shows. Every-time I talk to people about what tv shows the watch they say "whatever's on" or "I don't really watch TV". I know it sounds weird but that's one my main interests and it's hard to be friends with people who don't watch tv/see movies. Also I like to follow celeb culture, I know it's considered shallow. But it's something I've always been interested in. I was talking about celeb gossip and a girl I hang out with said "I hate all that celeb bullshit, I don't follow that ****. It's fake it's all **** and rumors and bullshit." Which I know it's stupid, but It upset me. So basically nobody I know like's what I like. I thought a-lot of people would be interested because of all the pop culture websites, but many that's just fandom nerds who never leave there houses. Help?
