Do i need permission from the charity to set up a donation container in local stores?
-
Do i have to have permission from Autism Speaks to set up a spare change donation container at a couple local stores in my community to help raise money for Autism Speaks? Or can i just set it up and then send them the money without any permission from them? It sounds like a silly question but i want to make sure i do it the right way before i do it.

Answer:
Yes you need a letter from the nonprofit to show to managers of the stores. Without written permission what you are attempting is illegal.

It is better to check with them because they can then provide a badged collection tin and it makes the collections more credible
