Why did all my answers get deleted?

Why do questions on yahoo answers get deleted?

  • i didnt even delete the question myself and it got deleted.. why does this happen??

    Without seeing your question or answer I can only guess. Questions and associated answers are deleted for any of these reasons: ✔ There was no answer after 4 days. ✔ "No best answer" won the vote. ✔ The best answer violated the community guidelines. ✔ The question violated the community guidelines. ✔ The asker deleted it within the first 4 days. The violation system works as follows. If multiple people report a question or answer it is removed. It is then up to you to prove to Yahoo that you did not violate any guidelines. There is a link at the bottom of this page to "Community Guidelines". Most question violations are for chatting. That would be any question where the answer could only be of use to the asker or you are specifically asking what an individual thinks or does. "Am I pretty?" "What did you have for dinner?" The Yahoo statement is that one or more trusted reporters must report a question or answer for it to be deleted. You can appeal and if the appeal is upheld the reporter loses some credibility. It takes a number of violations to get someone suspended, the exact number would vary dependant on the severity of the violations.

YA has community moderation posts are reported by other members which can result in deletion.The number of abuse reports before deletion depends on the "trust level" of the reporters. Usually all it takes is 2 "trusted" members although sometimes more and in rare occasions only one to report a post and the bots remove it.
